Walking a Marathon to Build a Sensory Room for SEND Children

Donation protected
Hi All,

Thank you for visiting our page.

Our names are Charlie & Nick and we are walking a marathon on the 5th June 2026, to raise money to help build a sensory room for ALL the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) children at Bexton Primary School, where our son attends.

Our son has been diagnosed with Autism, and it has been a journey for our family while we all adjust to the new normal - whatever that is!

In a hope to find something positive that we can do for our son, ourselves and the other SEND children at Bexton, we decided to take on the crazy task of walking a marathon.

We wanted to take on this challenge, in the hope it would generate enough to make a difference to the children's lives at school or at least make a great jump start.

The team at Bexton have put together an incredible plan and design concept, that we believe will benefit the SEND children everyday.

  • This involves, re construction of a room - plumbing, lighting, etc.
  • New equipment is needed
  • Safety elements installed
  • Heating
  • Sensory toys and sensory lighting

All money raised will be given directly to Bexton Primary School, to help create the sensory room for the benefit of ALL the SEND pupils.

Any support is greatly appreciated by ourselves, our son and Bexton :)

Thanks,
Charlie & Nick
