Did you know that at burton hospital the neonatal unit only has 1 recliner chair and 1 breast pump! This simply is not enough as it means some mothers have to sit on hard plastic chairs whilst visiting their baby at an already stressful and upsetting time. So as a group of friends, we want to change that. We are walking 40km on the 9th of May (23 miles, 8+ hours) to raise money to be able to buy more recliners and pumps to donate to the unit.  Just to be clear we are not raising money for a charity, we are raising money to buy items to donate. 

*Since launching this GoFundMe, we discovered that the neonatal unit actually owned three breast pumps that were initially lost but have now been recovered, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the neonatal team, the breastfeeding support team, and the awareness raised by this campaign. As a result, we will now use all the donations to purchase recliner chairs, providing mothers and families with a comfortable space to bond with their newborns.
