My mom lost her battle with cancer, and every day since I have carried her memory with me. Her strength and kindness remind me why I want to turn grief into action. In June I am walking 30 miles at my own pace, fitting walks into my routine and taking time to remember her and the many others cancer has touched.
I am supporting the American Cancer Society because their work makes real difference in prevention, early detection, treatment, and support for families. Knowing that 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will face cancer in their lifetime, and that someone is diagnosed every 15 seconds, makes this cause deeply personal. Each step I take is a small act that adds up to helping fund lifesaving research and programs for people facing cancer today.
Walking lets me reflect and honor loved ones while doing something practical that supports the future. I will share updates as I go, so friends and family can follow along and celebrate milestones with me. Your encouragement matters as much as any mile I walk.
Please consider making a gift to the American Cancer Society to support research, patient services, and hope for families fighting cancer. Every donation, share, and bit of support helps turn everyday movement into meaningful impact.
