This June I’m walking 30 miles to support the American Cancer Society. I’m fitting miles into my daily routine at my own pace, and every step is a moment to remember loved ones, reflect on the journey so many face, and do something small that adds up to a bigger impact. Cancer touches so many of us—1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed in their lifetime—so I’m turning everyday movement into meaning.
I’m walking to help fund lifesaving research, support programs that help people cope with treatment, and make sure families have access to the information and resources they need. The American Cancer Society provides vital services and guidance to people facing cancer, and by walking I’m joining a community committed to improving lives and supporting survivors and caregivers.
This challenge is personal and hopeful. With each mile I take I think of the people I love and those fighting cancer now. I want to be part of the momentum that moves us closer to better prevention, earlier detection, and more effective treatments so fewer families have to hear the words, "You have cancer."
Please join me by donating to my fundraiser. Your contribution, no matter the size, helps transform miles into lifesaving support. Thank you for walking alongside me in spirit and for helping the American Cancer Society improve the lives of people with cancer and their families.
