Hi, my name is Maisie, and i'm fundraising for Camp Beagle.

Back in November, my beagle, Hettie, unfortunately passed away after being hit by a car. Everyone that knows me, knows how much I loved Hettie. She truly was my best friend. Losing her has been one of the hardest things I've ever experienced and I especially miss going on walks with her. This is why I have decided to walk 200km across the month of June, which works out to be around 6.6km per day, to raise money for Camp Beagle.

Camp Beagle are a grassroots animal rights protest camp located outside of MBR acres in Cambridgeshire. The camp has been running 24/7 since 2021 to raise awareness, campaign for change, and advocate for the welfare of these dogs, in the hopes to shut down MBR acres.

MBR acres is a beagle breeding facility in Cambridgeshire that breed over 2,000 beagle puppies a year before they are then sold to laboratories for toxicology testing. These dogs spend their lives in tiny indoor pens without ever experiencing things like walking on grass, playing freely outside, or living in a loving home environment.

Camp Beagle peacefully protest outside the facility every single day to give these dogs a voice and raise awareness about animal testing and breeding facilities in the UK.

Throughout June, I'll be sharing updates from my walks and memories of Hettie along the way.
