Walkie Talkies Moonlight Walk to support Douglas MacMillan

This year our walking group Walkie Talkies have decided to raise money for Douglas MacMillan. We are participating in the 10 mile moonlight walk on 20th June 2025. I'm sure many of you, will have you're own individual reasons for supporting this amazing charity.

Douglas MacMillan provides hospice services to over 3,500 local people with life-limiting illnesses each year in Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire and the surrounding villages. They also extend the kindness to family members during this difficult time. We wanted to show our sincere gratitude for the amazing work that they do and for making it possible for terminally ill people to be discharged from the hospital. So they can be surrounded by family in the comfort of their own home.

But we are completing this walk in memory of loved ones; Stephen Dawson, Tony Horwood, Dave Hampton, Jane Phelps, Graham Parker, Val Parker, Stephen Ryder, Deb Bowler, Shirley Mary Hadley, Dale Anthony Bromley Pegg, Róbert Farhang Koohi
and other family and friends who have unfortunately lost their lives due to terminal illness. We are excited to come together for this special charity. We will proudly be wearing our pink t-shirt, tutus and wigs in support.

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Douglas Macmillan Hospice, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
