Trying to Rebuild After Losing Everything — Please Help Me Start Over

Hi, my name is Walker Kelly, and I’m asking for help at one of the lowest points in my life.

I’ve always done my best to push forward, even with the challenges I face. I was diagnosed late in life with autism, and I’ve lived with ADHD, anxiety, and depression since I was young. It hasn’t been easy, but I’ve kept trying — until everything started falling apart just as I thought I was finally getting back on track.

About a year ago, I experienced a mental health crisis that led to a hospital stay. Since then, I’ve worked hard to rebuild my life. I’ve been using medical marijuana (legally, with a prescription) to manage my anxiety and depression in a way that felt safer to me than prescription medications, which caused side effects I couldn’t handle. Unfortunately, this choice has limited my job opportunities and contributed to where I am now.

I recently fell behind on my car payments, and my vehicle was repossessed. Without it, I have no way to work, attend appointments, or even run basic errands. It’s made an already difficult situation feel impossible.

The good news is: I was just offered a job in the construction field — a great opportunity that could change everything for me. But there’s a catch: I need to pass a DISA hair test, which requires at least 90 days of being completely clean. I’ve already stopped using THC and have been clean for over a week. I’m committed to staying clean and proving I can take this next step forward.

But I need help to survive the next few months — to get stable housing, transportation, and cover basic needs while I wait out this 90-day period and prepare to re-enter the workforce. I’m not looking for handouts, just a chance to get back on my feet.

I take full responsibility for the decisions that got me here. I’m not blaming anyone. I just hit a breaking point — mentally, emotionally, and financially — and now I’m doing everything I can to pull myself out.
