The stray cats in the town of Walker are becoming overpopulated and under cared for. This is creating sickness and gruesome deaths within the population. Some cats are feral, some have been dumped and abandoned.

By using humane techniques to trap the cats, we will have them spayed/neutered, vaccinated and ear tipped. After recovering, some cats will be re-homed and some will be returned to the colony. Typically, this is called TNR (trap, neuter, return), because of the influx in colony numbers, some need to be re-homed. Relocation without sterilization or inhumane treatment (catch and kill) of community cats creates a scientifically documented phenomenon called The Vacuum Effect; a temporary solution and an endless cycle of overpopulation.

By temporarily donating the use of live traps and/or funds to the program, we will be able to stabilize and end the overpopulation of the cats in our community.
