Hello everyone! Thank you for visiting our campaign for Walk With Sawyer. Our little Sawyer Rose was born with club foot. She’s received treatment for it, in one form or another, her entire life. She’s had multiple tenominities, castings, and has had to wear a boot and bar system to bed every night for over a year. She first started her journey with Club Foot in Macon, until we ran into some complications and had to seek help elsewhere. So we decided that, because Sawyers situation was pretty dire, we wanted to see the best club foot physician in the country. This happened to be Dr. Dobbs in St. Louis at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Sawyer received the best care possible there from the nicest Doctors and staff you could ever imagine. All of this was possible only thanks to the help and support from family, friends, and the VIA Community helping us raise money to get her the care she needed.
Since receiving care in St. Louis, we’ve had an unfortunate step in the wrong direction. Sawyers feet have started to retract back to their original state. She’s going to need additional treatment, and may have to be in a boot & bar system longer than we originally anticipated. So this means more trips to St. Louis, more doctors appointments, more rental cars, and more nights spent in hotels. And as we all know, this stuff costs money. Please help us raise money so our daughter can get the best care money can buy, so hopefully someday, she can run and frolic like every normal kid should.
