Walk up Mount Snowdon in Firefighting kit!

Tax deductible
Welcome to my Fundraiser!

On Saturday, 17th September 2022, I will be walking up Mount Snowdon (1,085m) with a few close friends. But that’s not all! I’ve decided to challenge myself and walk up the Mountain in my Firefighting Kit to raise money for The Firefighters Charity!

For those who don’t know me, my name is Jordan Powley; I am 24 years old and currently serving as a Retained Firefighter at Skegness Fire Station and have been for around six years.

Firefighting to me is one of the best jobs in the world! Experiencing new challenges and constantly Gaining new knowledge whilst thriving to make our communities a safer, healthier and more resilient place for all.

I enjoy walking, it has so many benefits. Walking is great for the mind, fitness and general well-being. Although I walk a lot and have walked previous hills such as Thors Cave and Kinder scout, Mount Snowdon will be a first and a challenge, so throwing on my Firefighting kit will definitely put me to the test.
With the support of my friends who will be by my side and the support from all donators, I am confident I will make it to the top!

Any donations are welcome, no matter how big or small, and if you feel like you cannot donate, sharing this page and telling your friends will help to get the word out further!

I want to raise as much as possible for this Charity as they support the mental, physical and social needs of all serving and retired members of the UK’s fire family!

“The Fire Fighters Charity offers specialist lifelong support for members of the UK fire services community, empowering individuals to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives. We provide independent, personalised support to thousands of people each year, and they’re not all firefighters. We exist to support all fire and rescue service personnel, whatever their role in the service. We are also here for all those who have retired, as well as for spouses and dependants.”

Fun facts:
• Mount Snowdon is approximately 345 fire engines tall.
