Walk to Hornsea for MND

We are Robbie Cusick and Lucy Norris, we’re 16 years old, we have recently left school and and are looking to help those around us, all our lives we have followed and watched Hull Fc our local rugby league team, recently the game was wounded, Rob Burrow CBE passed away of a horrible disease called motor neurone disease. Motor neurone disease is a rare condition affecting the brain and nerves. It eventually leads to death, but some people live with it for many years, Motor neurone disease happens when cells in the brain and nerves, called motor neurones, gradually stop working. It's unknown why this happens. Our goal is to raise £400 for the disease and spread awareness throughout our community and the country. Rob was a true inspiration to both of us and will continue to be that for the rest of our lives, Rob played 493 games for Leeds Rhinos, his one and only beloved club. He also played 20 games for his country, Rob Burrow was scared of nobody, a warrior, a fighter and an inspiration. Personally (Robbie) I have been affected by this disease, my Grandad sadly lost his beloved partner to motor neurone disease, with a personal link and a passion, due to the talent and the inspiration Rob Burrow has laid on our lives, we will be walking from Sutton (Hull) to Hornsea this walk is 6 hours and a total of 13 miles, we aim to do this in late July/early August, before this walk we will be holding a bake sale with a location to be confirmed with bucket collections for any donations to the charity. As a duo, we appreciate any support you can give, every penny makes a difference to someone’s life and helps us spread awareness and find a cure for MND, if you are able, please share this and any donations would be appreciated to help us reach our goal.
