These charities in all season, year in, year out meet different needs each day. They do what they can, with what they have. I want to raise funds to support and encourage them in their daily service in meeting different needs as it increases each day. The hope is that the support given will enable them to keep meeting more needs where they are at. (Please read more about them on their website)
1. www.giveusashout.org (Shout) Giving 24/7 support for those in crisis, mental health wellbeing support.
2. www.slr-a.org.uk (South London Refugee Association) Giving support to refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants who are in crisis or at risk .
3. www.aaco.org.uk (Ashanti-Akim Community Organisation)
Ashanti Akim Community Organisation is focused on alleviating poverty in Ghana’s Ashanti Akim region. AACO addresses poverty by focusing on projects in five key areas: education, agriculture, business, medicine and leadership development.
4. www.kintsugihope.com (Kintsugi Hope) A charity based in the UK striving to make a difference to peoples mental wellbeing. Giving support and seeing a world where mental and emotional health is understood and accepted, with safe and supportive communities for everyone to grow and flourish.
5. freshorizonscnb.org (Freshorizonscnb) Offering a helping hand to those who need it. This charity offers homeless individuals a second chance by providing them with shelter, support and rehabilitation programmes.
6. www.centrepoint.org.uk (Centerpoint) Provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment.
In marking the month of July, I am doing what I can with what I have. On JULY 4th 2020 I will walk from...
LEWISHAM - 02 (NORTH GREENWICH STATION), 02 (NORTH GREENWICH STATION) - WOOLWICH, and finally from WOOLWICH - CROYDON.
The total amount raised (during the month of July & August) will be split equally and given to each charity.
Your support goes a long way, no gift is too small. DO NOT GET WEARY IN YOUR CONTINUOUS SUPPORT towards different needs.... YOU ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE!
