This September, hundreds of pilgrims from across Ireland will lace up their walking shoes and take part in Walk the Cross 2026 — a powerful 33-mile pilgrimage from Kildare to Croke Park, with each mile representing one year of Jesus' life.

But this is about much more than walking.

It is about carrying intentions for loved ones, praying for healing in our families and communities, and publicly witnessing our faith in a world that often feels increasingly disconnected from it.

Over two days, pilgrims will journey together in prayer, reflection and fellowship. Beginning with Holy Mass in St Brigid's Church, Kildare, the pilgrimage will make its way towards Dublin, concluding with a Eucharistic Procession to Croke Park, Holy Mass, Benediction and spiritual talks.

Along the road, participants will share stories of hope, support one another through the physical challenge, and unite in a common purpose: bringing people closer to Christ.
