◦ Hi! Today we are raising money for a charity that is very close to our hearts… The Aplastic Anaemia foundation, for anyone who doesn’t know what aplastic anaemia is it’s a very rare bone marrow failure with a chance of only 2-3 in a million. unfortunately our son has recently been diagnosed with this and we are now at the early stages of a long journey ahead. Myself(Jess) and dad(Harry) are going to be joining this amazing charity for a walk on the 1st of March around ladybower reservoir in the Peak District. Myself and many more would be extremely grateful for any donation no matter how big or small that would support and raise money for this fantastic charity. Before henry was diagnosed we had never heard of aplastic anaemia. it’s a very serious diagnoses which effect many lives of patients,family and friends and yet it isn’t even listed on the NHS conditions page. Each diagnosis is so different it took us over 6 months to get a diagnosis for henry and the only symptom he had at that time was bruises and now he’s been battling with blood tests every 2 weeks for the past 6 months, he’s also had 2 bone marrow biopsy’s and is still due to have more testing and another skin biopsy over the next few weeks. it’s been a very tough time for us all as a family and we know there is still more to come and would like to do everything we can to support and raise money for this brilliant charity to help with research and many other things. He’s now recently been listed on the bone marrow transplant list to Hopfully find a matched donor so please any donations you could contribute big or small would be so massively appreciated and it will be going to a great cause.
