Help Ellie Walk Again

Many of you already know my story but I’ll tell it again for some who may not.
On September 13, 2017 I was on my way to work in Paso Robles when my right rear tire blew out and caused me (and my pickup) to roll across the road. I suffered many injuries that day but the most detrimental one was the burst fracture to my T-10 vertebrae. This caused me to lose feeling below my belly button and lose the ability to walk.
There is no cure for this type of injury. The only way to reconnect my brain to the nerves below that part of my spine is to see my legs working and constantly be moving them and trying to move them. SCI-FIT is a company that does exactly that. They offer a gym in 3 locations in California open to people with injuries similar to mine, to help people walk again. I just started attending their Fresno facility, but after hundreds of thousands of dollars in hospital bills it is unrealistic for me to be able to go to SCI-FIT for very long. Unfortunately the process on learning to walk and regaining function can take many years, and it’s a process that my insurance won’t cover.
We are asking for any kind of contribution to see that I can take on this journey life has given me and put in all the work I can to walk again. If you are unable to donate, please keep me in your continued prayers.
