Walk for Aria Nikjooy

We are raising money in memory of our amazing school friend Dr Aria Nikjooy who sadly passed away early this year after a 3 year battle with a rare brain tumour at the age of 30.

 

5 of us are walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks on Saturday the 16th October which entails a 25mile, 12 hour walk with a total ascent of 1585m. To also help raise awareness of the great work Aria did we are undertaking the challenge dressed as animals from the children's books he wrote.

 

Aria wrote these to help explain illness in parents and loved ones to young children. A 2nd book Aria wrote before passing away will be out this year. In addition he also has a witty and candid memoir about his experience.

 

The money donated will used to distribute Aria's children's books to hospitals, hospices and medical schools along with funding to the charity Brain Tumour Research.
