Hi everyone. I'm running 62 miles to help the American Cancer Society fight for a world without cancer. The original challenge is to walk 62 miles for the month but I’m upping the ante by committing to run all those miles. Rain or shine (luckily no rain in San Francisco just fog)!
This is a very meaningful cause for me because my father passed away from pancreatic cancer just 2.5 years ago. July is his birth month and I’d love to honor his memory and make a meaningful impact and contribution to fight cancer and lessen suffering to so many affected. It’s a word we all hear too often about those in our communities and our hearts.
I’ll be running during this challenge and those that know me well, know cardio is not my favorite past time. That is about to change. Yikes.
I’m excited and feel so honored to show up for this challenge with my heart and running shoes in tact.
I will try to post updates so check back and don’t underestimate the power of even small efforts. Tiny acts of kindness can ripple far greater than one grand gesture ever could!!!
ACS has a platinum rating on GuideStar (the highest possible), so give with confidence!
Please consider making a donation because every little bit helps!
Thank you for your support! Fingers crossed I don’t get hurt
