Hi everyone,

We're taking on a special challenge: walking between every professional football ground in South Yorkshire to raise funds for Archie. This cause is deeply personal to us—Archie is the son of our friend Stephen, and he is a brave young boy who has tragically been diagnosed with cancer. Football is a huge part of Archie’s life; he spends most of his free time playing or watching the game. That’s why we felt it was fitting that our challenge celebrates the fantastic football heritage of South Yorkshire.

THE CHALLENGE

Saturday, 7th March

• We’ll begin at Doncaster Rovers’ Eco Power Stadium at 6:00am before tackling a 13.1‑mile walk to Rotherham United’s New York Stadium—around five hours on foot.

• From there, we head to Barnsley’s Oakwell Stadium, a further 12 miles.

• The final leg of the day takes us from Oakwell to Sheffield Wednesday’s Hillsborough Stadium, another 12 miles, aiming to arrive before 18:00 with some very tired legs!

• All in all: 4 grounds, 12 hours, 85,000 steps.

Sunday, 8th March

• The final stretch is a shorter 3.5‑mile walk from Hillsborough to Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane. This part of the journey will be completed on Sunday alongside Archie and his wider group of friends and family.

In total, we’ll cover 40 miles—a physically gruelling challenge. But the journey Archie and his family are facing is far tougher. Every pound raised will help ease the financial burden on them, allowing them to focus on what truly matters: Archie’s treatment and recovery. With enough support, we hope some of that recovery may include attending top‑flight matches or even giving the family the chance for a much‑needed break.
