On the 25th of October (national PoTS awareness day) me and my partner will be walking 10k to raise money for PoTS UK. I was diagnosed with PoTS November 2024 after going back and forth with doctors for 5+ years about my constant chest pain, heart rate, fatigue and so many other symptoms. I was constantly dismissed as just having health anxiety and i believe this is due to the lack of training doctors are given about PoTS! It wasnt until i had done my own research that they started running the tests which led me to my diagnosis. Even though i am now on medication it still impacts me everyday. The dizziness is something i have to live with as soon as i wake up till i fall asleep and at times it feels debilitating! And being a mum now there is nothing scarier than feeling faint or dizzy when you have a little one near by. So im starting a gofundme in hopes to raise more funds to get more research done into the illness! And hopefully new ways of treating the condition thankyou so much.
