Waldorf House Fire, DeWitt, IA
Donation protected
Steve and Ellen Waldorf of DeWitt, Iowa lost their home of 15 years the morning of Monday, March 13th.
The fire started in the garage and spread QUICKLY to the roof of the home and the house was quickly engulfed in flames. Everyone was quickly able to exit the home from the back when flames were seen out the front door. Everyone got out safely.
They lost EVERYTHING including their 2 cars in the fire. Insurance is being VERY helpful but for the time being they will be living in a hotel.
My mother has stated that anything that they do not need they will be donating back to the Red Cross of the Northeast Iowa who were there the morning of the fire.
Thanks so much for any help you are able to give. Currently we are looking for money for "life" (food, daily needs, etc.) and some gift cards to get them some new work clothes & shoes.
Thank you,
From their daughter, Emilie
