Walden is a beloved, high-energy, senior pug who gives love to everyone he meets. Please, please help me afford Walden's surgery! Any bit helps.
Walden has a mast tumor on his chest that needs to be removed. He also newly needs some work done on his teeth as they're getting unhealthier as he ages. Overall, he is healthy and happy, so his outlook is good -- except for needing these important surgeries. Finances are tight in our home and I can't afford this surprise expense, regrettably.
What the money is for:
-$200 for his screening to make sure he's ready to go for surgery, including bloodwork, biopsy
-$1,700 for costs associated with his tumor removal including anesthesia, medication, surgery, tests, and miscellaneous costs
-$1,200 for costs associated with his dental work, including extraction, cleaning, xrays, and antibiotics
I work full-time at a local nonprofit that works with low-income folks. I'm transgender, so I like that I have community here in D.C. and the most legal protection but it's extremely expensive to live here, which is why we need the help. Between student loans and rent and everything else we need, we live scarcely.
I got Walden in the midst of a bad depression. He was the perfect antidote and he's been with me ever since, about 6 years now. Having him around changed my life dramatically for good. He's my best bud and a perfect addition to any situation.
