Walaa’s International Cat Rescue - Luxor, Egypt
Hi. I am sharing a little about Walaa’s story. Walaa runs an animal shelter in Luxor, Egypt. She works tirelessly, rescuing every cat that comes to her attention, and giving them the best care and best chance at life. Walaa’s cats have been adopted all over the world, from the UK where I am, to the USA, to Canada and throughout Europe. I adopted my boy from Walaa earlier this year.
But, Walaa is one person. She has to pay rent for the shelters, vet bills, workers’ pay, food costs and all the other costs associated with care. Walaa never stops doing her absolute best. However, she needs our help.
Life on the streets for cats in Luxor is rough. So many cats are left to fend for themselves and become sick and injured. Walaa dedicates her life to nursing them back to health and providing a home awaiting adoption. Walaa also cares personally for sick and disabled cats. She never gives up. She never lets a cat down.
She currently has more than 150 cats in two shelters. She will not let them down and she will never turn down a cat in need. But, she cannot go on forever.
Walaa is currently short on money for rent, and debts to pet shops are building. Please consider donating whatever you can to help her keep fighting for them.
PS - If you know anyone looking for a kitty, Walaa’s cats deserve the best home. Reach out to Walaa or to me to discuss adoption. There are plenty of cats to choose from!
Thank you for your time,
