Wake & Pray Until Transfer Day

I'm sitting here looking at this empty box and I just don't know where to begin. It is not an easy thing to reach out and ask for help and it is not something that we take lightly. We have struggled with this decision, and initially we decided that this was not what we wanted. Now here we are several months later and we need more help than we ever thought we would.

Let me introduce ourselves.  We are Justin and Tiffany Holt. Justin and I were married last August and our relationship has been god sent. You hear about those people who "just knew" and that's exactly how it went. I am a nurse, I work for Phoenix Home Care and Hospice. I love being a nurse, it feeds my soul <3. Justin spent time in the Air Force, and he now works for PEPSI Co. and he also loves his job.  We are a great team, I could not ask for a better partner to spend my life with.

If you are close to us, you know our struggles. For those of you that don't let me explain. We have decided to do this crowd funding to help raise money for IVF.  I have struggled with abnormal hormones my entire life leading me to have Amenorrhea and Anovulation. This has caused us to struggle with getting pregnant on our own. At first we did not think it was going to be a huge deal, I mean after all they have medications that you can take to induce ovulation.  We tried Clomid and Femara. Let me just pause for a second and say GOD BLESS my best friend Angel and my husband for putting up with me while I was on these medications. It was not pretty, I cried at the drop of a hat, I was moody, I was hot, I was cold, I had muscle soreness....I was TERRIBLE.
So after doing these medications for over a year and peeing on a stick every single day to monitor my hormone levels and being in tears month after month, I spoke with my OBGYN and asked for the next steps....his answer was IVF. With a fresh attitude we thought okay...at least we are moving in the right direction, maybe this will be our answer.

I called and set up a consultation and off we went a couple months later. The clinic is in Saint Louis which is quite a drive, luckily for us they come to Springfield every so often for consultations, and lab draws. We met with the doctor and she was very nice and full of hope for us. We completed our consultation and gave blood and samples for them to work up and determine a treatment plan. Next step was to meet with the financial counselor. Well if it wasn't terrifying before, this appointment definitely pushed us into panic mode.  $22,000 is the number, $22,000  is the number standing between us and us plus one, or two :)   So we went to work. We have cut back, and set budgets and I have picked up extra shifts so that we can put as much back as possible...but its just not enough. We have an AMAZING support system. I can not say enough good things about the family and friends that we surround ourselves with. My mom, my uncle, and my dad have offered to help us but we still lack about 10 thousand. Now...do I think that this will lead us to that number...probably not. BUT as stated above we have the most amazing support system and many of them have asked us about a go fund me. So here we are going out on a limb, hoping and praying that with the help of  "our village" we can make this happen.
