Sound System for Charity Band
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Marshall Ward. Two friends of mine, Bruce Ahlvin and Chris Jones, and I have formed a band called the Ward, Ahlvin and Jones Trio. Recently, we have added Carson Schaefer to the group. Carson plays lead guitar and we are very excited to have him. For the time being, we are not changing the band name even though we are now a quartet. Our mission has not changed either, we specialize in fund raising and playing for charitable causes.
We play monthly for the local Sam Jones Hall Homeless Shelter and Alzheimer's Respite which are both run by Catholic Charities of Santa Rosa. We also play monthly at a luncheon for those who are dealing with food insecurities that is run by St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Sebastopol. We have provided music for the Catholic Charities Health and Wellness Faire, Vietnam Veterans Lunchen and other worthy events. We don't charge any fee for any charity or fund raising events.
We started this GoFundMe campaign to help us purchase a sound system for use in outdoor events. The initial response was very gratifying. We have purchased the basic system with the funds that were donated. We are hoping for a few more donations to buy some additional pieces such as a stage monitor, protective covers and other accessories.
We want to thank everyone who has supported our mission the last couple of years. We are expanding our songlist and are booking shows for 2017! We look forward to seeing you at one of our shows!
Please check out our Website: www.wajtrio.org There you will find all kinds of information about us as well as links to music videos from our recent shows. As a sample, here is our rendition of CCR's LODI.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and please feel free to share this on your Facebook page even if you cannot help with a donation. All you have to do is click the blue SHARE button right below this message.
