Let me start out by saying that asking for help is very difficult for me. But at this point it's this or file bankruptcy.
On October 6, 2014 my estranged husband came to the home of my children and I. He waited out back for an undetermined amount of time. When my family as well as the man I was dating woke up to prepare for our day; John shot my boyfriend through my bathroom window twice killing him. He then shot at me, just barely missing me. When I went into my bedroom to call 911, he broke into my bedroom and forced me to watch as he committed suicide.
My children heard this, thankfully they did not see their father/step-father commit the murder suicide. We had to leave our home. While moving out, our former home was broken into several times. We were not sure what all was taken. It took 9 months for my childrena nd I to find a new home. Now that we are unpacking we are finding out exactly how much was taken.
To add insult to injury I now am left with the mountain of debt John left behind. I have creditors filing lawsuits against me as the executor of his estate to reclaim the money they have lost. I am living on a very modest income and cannot afford the debt that he left me. As well as the continuing debt for therapy for myself and my children. I am looking for help to get us out of this black hole we were forced into.
