waikitobi water project
Donation protected
while i was in indonesia this year i came across this story of these indonesian sea gypsy's"the waikatobi" who for centuries have travellelled the indonesian islands seasonally to exist.now the governement have forced them to stay in one area restricting their water supplies and food.because they have no hereditary land they cannot sink water bores.they catch fish, sell the fillets and use the fish frames to flavour their rice.they have no electricity.they have to travel miles each day just for fresh water.
so a few plumbers want to raise $15,000.00 for a solar powered desalination plant.we will pay for our own airfares and accommodation.we just need money for the equipment.our first world lifestyle takes it for granted sometimes about the basics we need to survive.we wake up each day worrying about first world problems yet some people like the waikitobi dont even have water.
we want to do this project in 2017.please donate because wqe are all one people.
