Rebecca’s Recovery Fund

Support Rebecca’s recovery from a blood clot, a 15 pound mass, and life threatening anemia.

Rebecca went to the emergency room at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center on December 7th for severe pain in her leg. She was diagnosed with a life threatening blood clot, a 15 pound mass, and life threatening anemia.

While in the hospital for the month of December and early part of January she had three surgeries (two on her leg for the blood clot and a hysterectomy). She also had blood transfusions, was on more than a dozen medications daily, had numerous medical tests, was in ICU & three other hospital rooms for specific medical care, and had some setbacks that kept her in the hospital longer than anticipated and during the holidays.

After the hospital, she stayed at a rehabilitation facility for physical/occupational therapy for the month of January. She had to regain her strength and balance, learn how to walk, sit up, get dressed, go to the bathroom, and many other things.

She continues to fight hard to regain her strength and goes to medical appointments. She will be back in the hospital in late July for another surgery, to remove her blood clot filter.

She works as an independent contractor as crew/roadie for artists/bands. She was unable to work during those few months (December thru mid March) of medical needs & recovery time and again this late July because of another surgery.

Thank you for your help and support.
