My lifelong love for animals has inspired me to create Waggin’ Tails Doggy Daycare in Alexander City, Alabama. Growing up, I dreamed of working with pets, but I realized that being a veterinarian would be too heartbreaking for me. Instead, I found the perfect way to care for animals and bring joy to their lives—by opening a daycare where every dog feels safe, loved, and entertained. Alexander City is a small town with few affordable options for pet care, and I want to fill that gap for local families who need a trustworthy place for their furry friends.

The first step in making Waggin’ Tails a reality is securing my business license and finding the right building. Once those essentials are in place, I’ll create a welcoming environment with a sunny outdoor play yard, plenty of toys, and even a pool for warm days. Inside, there will be a spacious playroom for rainy or cold weather, plus individual rooms for naps and relaxation. Every dog—no matter the breed or age—is welcome as long as they’re vaccinated and spayed or neutered. My goal is to provide a safe, fun, and comfortable space where pets can thrive while their owners are at work or away.

Caring for animals has always been a part of my life. Recently, I’ve had the joy of rescuing and caring for baby possums and a baby duck, which has only deepened my commitment to helping animals in need. I’ve never asked for help before, but this is my dream and I’m determined to make it happen.
