My name is Grant. I’m a husband to my amazing wife Tara, and daddy to my two baby girls, Gracie and Gwyneth. As a man who values his family’s privacy, this is a very hard thing for me to put together, so bare with me here, as I explain our current situation.

On 3/31/22, after coming home from a business trip late, I was woken up to Tara gasping for breath, in full body convulsions and choking on foam/saliva. She was in the process of a full on seizure. My poor little girls were right there, witnessing this horrible scene that felt like an eternity. Luckily I was home and was able to dial 911, and turn her on her side so she didn’t choke to death. I can’t even imagine what could’ve happened if I wasn’t there. Tara was taken to the ER via ambulance. They performed a CT scan of her brain and luckily there was no bleeding or masses seen. After seeing the neurologist, Tara’s license has been revoked for at least 6 months, and has filed for disability. We have had to pull the girls out of daycare, because we cannot afford to keep them there.

My health insurance is not good, and our costs are super high. The ER visit and ambulance ride alone was almost 3,000 dollars. We still need to have an MRI and an EEG test done to see if Tara does in fact have epilepsy, or if this is just a one time deal. I have no idea how much that is going to cost. I travel a lot for work, and I am scared to death to leave her alone.

Asking for financial help is very difficult, but I don’t know what else to do. Everything I do is for my girls, and I want them to live a happy, healthy and long life. Thank you for reading this in advance, and anything helps. Thank you.
