Brandy’s Recovery

Hello Everyone,

Im not normally one to do something like this, but I am in a desperate place of need. The dog pictured above is my Emotional Support Animal, Brandy. Last night in Gardnerville, NV she got out of our hotel room and was hit by a car who left her for dead. My fiance and I were only able to find her after we saw a Good Samaritan searching through a field with a flashlight. When we found her she was bleeding from her head and had exposed bone on her right front leg. We rushed her to the closest emergency vet near us in Reno. When we got her there she was in Shock, barely able to keep her eyes open and in an immense amount of pain. She underwent lots of tests and imaging and the vet was finally able to stabilize her injuries. Brandy has a low spinal fracture, bruising on her lungs, torn tendons in her leg, and a broken jaw that is wired shut, among other things. Unfortunately this accident happened at a time where she was uninsured by pet insurance due to me undergoing a career change. I know that none of this is your problem, but I’m asking for any help I can get. If you know me, this dog is my entire world. Brandy’s vet bills continue to climb and it’s going to be a long road to recovery. Thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and any contribution you might be able to make.
