Wadsworth Hurricane Ida relief

Donation protected
Hey, my name is Clay Henry, and I am starting this GoFundMe page to help out some great, wonderful people, Chris and Sommer Wadsworth and their kids lost their home in Hurricane Ida. Three large trees tore through the house while Sommer and the girls were home, and Chris was at work on shift. They lost all of their furniture in this disaster.

After losing this home to the storm, they relocated to "the camp" in Kentwood. Now "the camp" has been sold, and Chris, Sommer and the girls have three weeks to move out.

The Wadsworths did purchase some property before the storm in the Albany/Independence area, with the plans to clear it and build a home in the future. Well, now life has moved the future to today. An accidental fire on the land cleared some of it, and the rest was cleared and dirt work was started. This blessing turned into a NIGHTMARE when it was discovered that the person doing the dirt work had used the removed trees and logs and covered them in the pad to be used for the house. The dirt pad for the new home that was to be delivered soon is now not usable in its current condition.

Chris and Sommer have spent all of their savings to pay another person to rework the dirt pad to get it ready for the new home.

I am asking for your assistance in getting this awesome family some much-needed help. Chris tells me that they require assistance getting the electrical lines and water/plumbing lines run for the home once it is delivered and set up. Chris also told me that they need items for the home: kids' furniture, kids' mattresses and box springs, linen, kids' clothes, yard equipment, tools, and other things for the kids, all of which were lost in the storm.

This is a quote from Chris, "We have not asked anyone for help since day one and only taken what was given or volunteered and we didn't always accept when we should have. We're having to redo all our dirt work, we still have plumbing and electrical to get us in house when it delivers soon. We also have tons of things that need replaced inside our home like the girls bedrooms, common area furniture, outdoor/lawn equipment, etc that was all lost in the storm. We are normally the people that give not receive so this will be hard for us but we're drowning."

I am asking you to help out with whatever you can give to help. Thank you in advance for your help.
