Honor Wade K. Halvorson III's Memory

We are raising funds in memory of my dad, Wade K. Halvorson III (aka "V"). On August 24th, 2025 my dad was tragically involved in a head-on collision with a semi-truck that took his life. Our family is devastated by this sudden loss especially as we are now grieving the loss of a second parent only eight years after losing our mom (Julie Halvorson) to cancer.

My dad was a passionate and kind man who loved his family, friends and God. He always put others first. He had a big heart and touched many people throughout his life, showing them support, encouragement and cheering them up with his sense of humor. He had a love for adventure and spontaneity. My dad's happy place was in the Black Hills of South Dakota where he enjoyed fishing for lake trout, camping in the Wickiup Cabins, spending time with family and exploring the great outdoors. He will be greatly missed and forever cherished in our hearts through the memories we hold.

As we prepare to say goodbye, we are facing expenses for his funeral and memorial. In lieu of flowers, we are asking for financial support to help cover these costs and honor his memory. We would be deeply grateful for any contributions towards my dad's funeral expenses.

A service to honor Wade’s life will be held at 11:00am on August 30th, 2025 at Grace Bible Church in Silver Lake, Minnesota. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30am-11:00am. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate his life. Guests are welcome to dress casually.
