Wade Shoemake

Wade Shoemake, 35, sustained a debilitating neck injury (C5) while vacationing in Florida. His wife, Mollie Resh Shoemake, has been by his side since the injury occurred on May 19, 2023. Wade's brother, Andy Shoemake, and mother, Alice Shoemake, have been ever present in his care.
Like many of his closest friends, some of you reading may have known Wade from childhood. Wade graduated from St. Martin High School in 2006 and attended Mississippi State University. If you didn't come across Wade in the hallways, you might have had the pleasure of knowing Mrs. Alice Shoemake, who educated decades of students at St. Martin over her 32-year teaching career. Some of you may have met Wade through business affiliation; he is an Owner Operator for Tidal Wave Solutions. If you don't know Wade and have made it this far, let us tell you about our friend. He's incredible. His sarcasm can crack a smile in any situation. He's pretty goofy, that fun goofy that you can't help but love in his own "Wader" way. One of his favorite things is gathering friends and making memories - from Halloween parties to group vacations to bonfires in the backyard. He loves his friends immensely...and their kids, spouses, and really anyone they love, he loves too. He is a dog dad to Gus and Reba, who adore him. He loves all things outdoors, hunting, boating, fishing, and water sports - if a body of water is involved, he's game. If you personally know Wade, the odds are high that you know his wife, Mollie. She has shown devout love and support since this accident flipped their lives upside down. She may have cared for one of your family members along the MS Gulf Coast at some point - she is a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital. Her career has prepared her for this tremendous caregiver role, and she has answered it with extraordinary strength and grace.
It is with a humble heart the family and friends of Wade Shoemake ask you to help us. As most of us have experienced at some point, healthcare is expensive, and insurance only covers a portion of the cost. Extensive rehab will be required soon. We know this road is full of unknowns and will need a massive amount of faith, determination, and strength to navigate. We understand times are hard for most right now. If you cannot donate in support of Wade's care, we graciously accept prayers and addition to your religious prayer lists. Wade would do almost anything to help his family and friends, and we hope you join us in our journey. Thank you for your consideration! #ShoemakeStrong - Please double check the tip section - that does NOT go to the Shoemake family!
