Wade Family Fire

The Wade family lost their home in a tragic house fire in Richmondville, NY this week - less than a week before Christmas. Thankfully, everybody was able to get out of the house safely. The fire was sparked in the attic in the middle of the night by the family's wood stove - the primary heating source for their home. Mike, the father, was woken up by their dog, Willow, to the smell of smoke. He quickly roused the family to get out of the house before flames broke through to the main living areas. Unfortunately, the fire broke through the roof of the house before emergency responders were able to make it to the scene, leading to total destruction of the family's home.

Christy, Mike,  Nicholas, age 15, Tyler, age 14, Ethan, age 12, Connor, age 11, James, age 9, Aaron, age 8, Lily, age 4, and their 3 pets are all currently residing in 2 hotel rooms until they are able to find a new home. Both parents and their 7 children are in desperate need of new clothes, coats, shoes, beds, school supplies, basic necessities, and a place to call home so that they can be together during this difficult time.

This has shaken our entire family to the core, and has been a harsh reminder of what matters most this holiday season. The impact of losing your home is tragic and devastating. In these situations, every penny helps to get the family back on their feet. Please help us to spread this story and help the Wade family to recover from this unfathomable tragedy.
