Hi everyone,
My name is Jenna Brenneman and I am the oldest child of Wade Brenneman. In February of 2024, my 46-year-old dad was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic rectal cancer that has also spread to his liver and lungs.
If you know my dad, you know he is the most fun-loving, hilarious, and loving guy. He had absolutely no symptoms as he went in for a routine exam, so this diagnosis came as a massive shock to our family. It has been something that has been very hard to process and understand, but we are all fighting alongside my dad.
He started very aggressive chemotherapy on February 14th, going for 7 hours every other week as surgery is not an option at this point in time. I have been lucky enough to be able to attend each of his chemotherapy sessions with him and that has become a very special time for us to share, even considering the circumstances. It means a lot to me that he doesn't have to go through those long chemo hours alone and that we can turn a situation that is less than ideal, into laughter and good memories.
Even though he is receiving massive amounts of chemo that brings side effects, my dad has still been able to work and spend time with family and friends. Asking for help is something that is hard for my family to do, but we recognize that this is something we can't fight alone.
As I'm sure you can imagine, this has become a huge, unforeseen financial burden on my dad and step-mom Kelly. My family and I would be more than grateful if you are able to donate anything towards my dads battle with cancer. Please keep my dad in your thoughts and prayers as he fights this stupid disease like hell.
