Wade Adsitt's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
On Sunday, August 4th, Wade was working in his yard on an excavator when he was involved in a freak accident. He was taken by Mercy Flight to ECMC. After X-Rays were taken we learned he thankfully had no broken bones, but after more extensive testing multiple internal injuries presented themselves Monday morning. Wade had his first surgery Monday where they removed two sections of his small intestine and 1 section of his colon due to lack of blood supply and dead tissue. They also repaired a hole in his large intestine. The surgeon couldn't finish the rest in one surgery, so Wade was then transferred to the ICU where he was sedated and intubated until his surgery the following day. Surgery on Tuesday went well and they were able to finish all of the repairs, check for any more damage, and close him up. Wade is still being held in the ICU to make sure he remains stable and is no longer sedated or intubated. He should be transferred to a recovery room soon, where he can finally begin to heal while also being monitored for any signs of infection or complications.

As you can imagine this has been EXTREMELY difficult for Wade's family and friends. His girlfriend Jessica and 7 month old daughter Kaylan have gone through so much this past week without having daddy home. With the current situation Jessica had to stop working until further notice to care for Wade in and out of the hospital. The major change in income, on top of the medical bills from Mercy flight, the multiple surgeries, and the extended hospital stay are weighing heavily on the family's mind...including Wade who should not be worried about anything but his recovery back to health and his family. Freak accidents like this are so scary, but we are forever grateful for all of the Medical personnel along the way who made it possible for Wade to see his daughter grow up.

All donations made will go directly to these medical bills and are GREATLY appreciated by the Adsitt and Pyc family.
