On December 5, 2019 Jon woke up and walked into the kitchen to start his normal routine of making coffee and getting ready for work. He had some pain in his legs and decided to take some ibuprofen and lay back down before getting ready. When Jon went to get out of bed he had lost total feeling in his legs and had to use only his arms to move to his roommate's room to get help.  

Jon spent the next 2 months in the hospital undergoing multiple mri's, ct scans, spinal taps, blood test, and ultra sounds in attempts to determine a diagnosis and treatment. They eventually found a lesion on his spine.  The doctors diagnosed him with conus medullaris, but they still do not have a diagnosis of what caused the spinal injury. Jon is continuing physical therapy to regain his strength but is still unsteady and does not have much strength to make it through the day. 

Jon's life has been one that has been focused on the service of other's. He works as a school-based case manager and is the friend you can call on in a moments notice to help demo your bathroom, build your patio or even change a tire. Jon has selflessly given for years and it's now our chance to love on him. His bills are coming in and he is not the type to ask for help.
