Margaret’s Angels

Hi, my name is Elizabeth Dubee Merrill. My aunt Margaret Guay has been battling pancreatic cancer since May 2023. She was first advised that surgery may remove the cancer but last week was advised after attempting surgery, that this is no longer possible as it has spread to her liver. Margaret and her two children, Jimmy and Paula, are doing everything they can to navigate these next very difficult days. Having someone with Margaret full time as much as possible is needed.

Margaret’s daughter Paula wants to be with her mother as she navigates the rest of her care journey through life. Margaret will be at peace having her daughter by her side. Paula, is a self employed house cleaner and therefore has no income if she takes the next few weeks or months off. Compassionate care leave through the government is not an option. Bills continue to pile up and we want to ensure that Paula can continue to survive while she provides comfort to her mom during these very precious next days.

This beautiful family has been through so much over the last 5 years and experienced so much grief and hardship. My aunt Margaret has selflessly helped so many people in her life. She would give her last cent to help others. I am hosting this fundraiser for them because I know they would never ask themselves and feel their family has been blessed so much already. This is their family wanting to give back to them now.
