Help Fleurish Botanical Goodness Non-Profit and the Fresh Start program grow!

As a non-profit social enterprise floral studio we love providing beautiful flowers honouring every occasion to our community. We recognize the significance flowers can have for our customers, but do not want our impact to end there. This is why the foundation of Fleurish and the heart behind everything we do is our Fresh Start Employability and Independence Program.

The Fresh Start Program is a transitional, paid, 12 week work experience taking place at our floral shop. Geared towards women experiencing barriers, our holistic approach provides supportive services, a robust curriculum, and interactive activities structured into personalized modules. As a transitional workplace experience, Fresh Start’s aim is to be a bridge to each intern’s future. We strive to empower women in our community by providing a safe and therapeutic environment, caring community, paid employment, and consistent support.

The rising demand for Fleurish’s support initiatives empowering women in our community is detrimentally limited by our current capacity. A lack of space, equipment and opportunity restricts the employment training and wrap-around support Fleurish can readily provide. Meeting the ever-changing needs of our community necessitates immediate growth.

We can’t do this alone. As a non-profit, we need the support of our community.

Fleurish endeavours to increase our Fresh Start program’s capacity, diversity and accessibility by introducing an expansion of our current floral shop with a locally-geared boutique area and the addition of a coffee shop.

An integral aspect of Fleurish is our mission to empower our community to find a sense of belonging, purpose and self-worth. This expansion will be no different.

As soon as our customers open our doors, we want them to sense the uniqueness of the Fleurish Boutique and coffee shop.

In fact, we want them to know that by entering Fleurish, they are also opening the doors to another’s future.

The addition of a boutique and a coffee shop will not only provide an increased revenue stream used to directly support our Fresh Start program, it will also offer valuable opportunities for employment skills development. Fresh Start participants will gain hands-on experience in areas such as retail operations, customer service, handling transactions, effective communication, teamwork and building confidence in themselves.

Where community and compassion connect, this space will be for everyone.
