Meredith's Care Fund

Meredith is a sweet, caring, animal loving 15-year-old from South Dakota. In January 2015, she and her twin brother underwent a major surgery in Oregon in an attempt to prevent a hereditary form of cancer. The surgery went well; however, Meredith had to be readmitted due to complications in February.  She was doing well post surgery. In May, doctors found a  tumor in her brain and she had to go to a hospital in Colorado to have it surgically removed. Unfortunately, the tumor turned out to be malignant. She will now have to undergo six weeks of radiation in Colorado and then return to South Dakota to undergo chemo. We are setting up this account to help with her with her stay in Colorado and any upcoming medical expenses. Her mother Laura (who is a nurse) has been by her side the entire time which also means that she has and will continue to miss a significant amount of work. Meredith will be 16 this week and will spend her birthday in the hospital. Let's try to make this a little easier on her and her family. While other 16-year-olds are getting their licenses and hanging with friends, Meredith will be fighting a battle most adults will luckily not have to face. Anything helps!!
