Hello, my name is Alisia Brown. I am 27 years old, and I am a community organizer, educator, mother, and student. 

My car broke down two weeks ago and has been in the shop ever since. The warranty that we had on it only covered the engine, and there was more work that needed to be done that was not covered by my insurance. So now, I have two weeks to raise $3000 to cover the costs of the repairs and be able to have a car, which enables me to work, take care of my two young children, and go to school. 

If you are willing and able to contribute anything to this fund, please know that you are not just contributing to a car. You are donating to a family that is struggling. You are donating to two beautiful, smart, active girls staying in school and keeping up with all of their activities. You will also be contributing to my work in the community through Planting Justice, helping me keep my job and keep on teaching Oakland youth about eating healthy.
