Hi, my name is Hector, and for the past 30 years, I built my life in the Palisades, a place I called home. I’ve worked hard as a location manager in the film industry, and my home was not just where I lived—it was where I kept a lifetime of memories, personal belongings, and everything I worked for.
Now, it’s all gone.
The Eaton Fire destroyed my home and everything inside it. I lost everything in an instant, and since then, I’ve been staying at a shelter in Pasadena for almost a month. The conditions there are rough, and each day is a struggle. I never thought I’d be in this position, but I need help to start over and get back on my feet.
I live alone, so I have no one to lean on during this time. I just want to get life back to normal—to have a place to live, some stability, and the chance to rebuild what I’ve lost.
Any donation, no matter how small, would make a huge difference. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing my story. I appreciate any support you can give.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for helping me take the first steps toward rebuilding my life.
With gratitude,
Hector
