Hi, my name is Keith Fosse and I'm Mason's uncle. For over two years, Mason has been diagnosed with kidney failure and he has been living a life full of dialysis, ER visits, and not living the life any of us would want for him. All the while, he has been working at Ike Honda and holding down a job.
I should also mention that he has had struggles getting and affording insurance, working through various government programs designed to help but that hasn't helped yet. He is a prime candidate for a Kidney transplant, but that takes being on disability at his age, which means...quitting his job. And he has a hip transplant in front of him due to vascular necrosis...due to the medicine he has had to take to fight the rest of the diseases.
So why does he need your help financially? Mason has accumulated medical bills beyond his ability to repay while he has been in between medical coverages and government programs. And as odd as it sounds, we have been told that the best way for him to get onto disability so he can get a new kidney...is to quit his job - leading to financial hardship until he is put on the program. So your contribution will join with those of family and friends in defraying his medical expenses and living expenses in the short term.
Thank you in advance for your kind consideration of this request. None of us ever think that we will be in a place where help is needed, but it's hopeful to know that others stand ready to help.
