As many of you have heard, my brother-in-law Tom McAfee is on a Heart Transplant List. These past couple of months, Tom has had a lot of testing done in Boston. Tom will be making many more trips for following up appointments, tissue samples, etc. After the surgery, Tom will have to stay in Boston for 3 months to be close to the hospital for his bloodwork  and appointments. Tom has no idea when this will take place. Once Tom receives the "Call", Tom and Susan will  have to get a flight to Boston ASAP. The Brigham amd Women's Hospital  has suggested doing some fund raising ahead of time so Tom and Susan will be ready for his long stay. Hotels and effiency apartments are very expensive in Boston. Tom will also have the expense of food, transportation not mention the medical bills along with new prescription medications that he will be on the rest of his life. By donating, you will be relieving a lot of financial stress for Tom and Susan. This will make their stay in Boston easier for them.  Any donation no matter how large or small will be greatly appreciated.
