Hi friends, family, and kind strangers.
If you know me, you know my dog Beau means the world to me and my family. For the last 6 months, we’ve been battling with Beau's health, which was diagnosed as allergies. On August 15th around 9pm, Beau had an episode of gagging, wheezing, gasping for air, and was growing weak. We rushed him to an emergency vet where he was put under sedation to check for obstruction. After further examination, we were told he would need a CT scan to confirm a diagnosis. We took him to our primary vet who did x-rays and discovered a foreign body in his stomach. With the hope that this was the root to all our problems, we went forward with exploratory surgery. Unfortunately, his symptoms did not go away post-surgery, and he is still in dire need of help. He still needs an endoscopy, CT scans, and possible surgery.
After just having a baby 3 months ago, we are not financially able to get Beau this type of care, and it is the last thing we expected. If you can, please consider donating to help us save our boy. He’s only four years old and full of life before all of this.
