My name is Adele Ebert for those of you who don't personally know me.  I was a legal secretary for a local attorney for 10 years.  Last September, 2014 I didn't feel well at work.  I went to doctor after doctor and after being hospitalized for four weeks I was diagnosed with a very rare disease called Guillaim Barat Syndrome, which affects 1 in 10,000 people in the U.S.   It is an auto-immune disease with symptons similiar to M.S., however, there is no present cure.  After being in the hospital for a month, I was transferred to Arcadia Care in Little Egg Harbor for physical rehabilitation for two months, followed by two months of in-home physical therapy, followed by four months of out-patient physical therapy.  This illness was secondary to a heart surgery in June 2014 for an ablation to correct my a-fib, which was, successfull.  I was at Univ. of Penn Medical Center for three days.

We hadn't even finished paying off the medical/hospital/doctor bills for the heart procedure when I came down with Guillaim Barat. 

I am unable to work due to this debilitating disease.  I can no longer walk or drive a car and have lost most of the dexterity in my hands, which,  has resulted in the loss of my job. 

The two illnesses have devastated us financially.  We are desparate for any help anyone would like to offer us.
