Support Jennifer's Battle Against Cancer

Hello! My name is Jennifer, I am 30 years old and I have stage 2 Squamous Cell Carcinoma in my sinus cavity which has now traveled to a small spot on my tongue. So far, I've completed 12 weeks of oral chemotherapy and have a new scan done every 6 weeks. I am a single mother, and have the pleasure of raising two amazing girls (Miah (11) and Evelynn (6)) and still trying to work full time at New Images Salon in Georgetown Texas. My insurance has been exhausted for this year, so all scans and treatment over the last few months and for the remainder of this year will be out of pocket.

On 6/19/2024 I experienced my first major scare/complication due to increasing the strength of my chemotherapy, which caused me to have a stroke. Since then, I've had to take even more time off from work to recover. On top of that, some days the chemotherapy makes me too sick or I may be in too much pain to show up for work or complete my work day.

Which of course has set me back financially. As of right now, chemotherapy is helping. But unfortunately the cancer is not shrinking as fast as my doctors were hoping, so I will have to complete additional rounds of chemotherapy until the area of concern is small enough to remove surgically.
