It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic and sudden passing of our beloved family member, Linwood Owens, affectionately known to family and friends as BooBoo or Boowow. On January 11, 2026, Linwood’s life was taken unexpectedly in a fatal car accident. Our family is devastated by this unimaginable loss.

BooBoo was the only child of Deborah Owens shared with Linwood Pitts, and he leaves behind a large, loving family in Washington, DC and Delaware who cherished him deeply. Many of you watched him grow, witnessed his journey, and saw the handsome young man he became. His laughter, presence, and spirit will be missed more than words can express.

During this difficult time, we are asking for support to help our family lay BooBoo to rest with the homegoing service he deserves. Any donation — no matter how small — will help ease the financial burden and allow us to honor his life properly.
