Our friend Dirk has lost his business. After being in Cole Valley for 25 odd years he is being tossed out after the sale of the building in which he operated Cole Garage. Over the many years Dirk has become a great friend to all who have had the pleasure of getting to know him. He is a generous man who has never failed to help out anyone who needed him. He has always been there for people and now we need to be there for him.
Since he has had to close his doors he no longer has any revenue coming in but he still has workers to pay to pack up and move the contents of the almost 9000 square feet of space he has to vacate.  He also has to pay for trucks to haul all of his equipment out and storage for all of that equipment until he finds a permanent spot for it all. As we all know moving is expensive so we can only imagine how much it must be to move a business like Dirk's. And since it is his business that is getting tossed out he is also out of a job.
We are putting this together on Dirk's behalf (he did NOT ask anyone to) to make it easy for all of us to help out with the rapidly growing stack of bills that he is incurring. Give what ever amount you can-every little bit helps.
