My name is John Duscio. I have been in a law enforcement officer for 28 years and have seen everything you can imagine. I have experienced traumatic events and have witnessed many hoffific incidents that haunt me. I have served to the best of my ability butI have paid a huge price. I will be retiring in the next few weeks and wish to live a life that I used to know but have long forgotten. The quality of life is hindered by 28 years of trauma and I would like to have a chance to see clearly again.
I will be attending the West Coast Post Trauma Retreat program for first responders, both current and retired, from July 19 - the 24th, in California, but I need some help covering the cost of the program and travel to and from.
My goal is not only to heal, but to bring back the skills learned and to raise awareness of the other side of this career that is rarley spoken of.
The cost of the course is $3,000 plus airfare.
